Through the recently announced $150 million investment in research excellence, Rice University seeks new faculty members at all ranks, starting as early as July 1, 2017, in the broad area of molecular nanotechnology (MolNan). Successful candidates will drive a dynamic,
innovative, and independent research program and will excel in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, while embracing Rice’s culture of excellence and diversity. MolNan faculty hires are expected to make original and impactful contributions to nanotechnology and to run vigorous research programs with
strong intellectual overlap with chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, and other related disciplines. The search will consider applicants from all engineering and science disciplines, with emphasis on those with research programs in sustainable energy
(carbon-based, electron-based, water-based), catalysis, and polymers/soft-matter.
